Story of Needle Tree :There once lived two brothers close to a forest. When it came to his younger brother, the older of these two brothers used to act really badly. In addition to wearing brand-new clothes, he used to consume all of his younger brother’s food every day.
The older brother made the decision one day to go to the adjacent forest and gather wood, which he would then sell for a few pennies in the market.
He cut down many trees as soon as he arrived in the forest, and while he was cutting down trees one after another, he came across a miraculous tree.
The tree requested, “Please, Sir, please do not cut my branches” in such a circumstance. I’ll give you a golden apple if you leave me. At the moment, he agreed, but then greed took over. He threatened to chop off the tree’s entire torso if it did not offer him more apples. Under such circumstances, he doused the apple with hundreds of needles rather than giving it to the older brother. The older brother began sobbing on the ground in agony as a result.
The younger brother now began to worry as the day gradually got closer. So he set out to find his older brother in the jungle. Near the tree, where hundreds of needles covered his body, he discovered the older brother in agony. With compassion in his heart, he reached out to his brother and lovingly withdrew each needle one at a time.
As the older brother observed everything, he began to feel resentful of himself. Now, the older brother promised to improve and expressed regret to the younger brother for mistreating him. When the older brother’s heart began to alter, the tree recognized it and provided him all the golden apples he would require in the future.
Moral of short stories in English – The story teaches us to always be polite and kind to others because we will always be rewarded for doing so.
